William (Bill Joe) Romero

William J (Bill Joe) Romero aged 68, passed away in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 8,
2023. He was born on July 12, 1955 in Norfolk, Virgina.
He attended Del Norte High School and UNM in Albuquerque. Bill Joe was an extremely
passionate artist and musician. He loved to read and was especially drawn to philosophical and
psychological literature. He loved to share his talents with his family and friends. He was a
loving son, husband, brother and uncle. He is loved dearly and will be missed deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents William J Romero, and Anna Marie Perea Romero.
He is survived by his Wife, Jeanette Ben-Attar and his sisters, Cheryl Romero Brown (Joe) and
Celeste Serrano (Ron). Additionally he leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Michelle Brown
(Daniel), Daniel Brown, Matthew Moree, Samuel Brown (Staci), Robera Moree (John) and Dylan
Moree.
He requested that he be cremated and he expressed his wish that his ashes be scattered in the
Sandia Mountains. A private memorial service will be held at the home of his sister. He
requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to UNICEF.
