Wilfred James Esquibel

Wilfred James Esquibel, a devoted son, passed away on July 13, 2023, in his hometown of Albuquerque, NM. He was born on October 11, 1983, in Albuquerque to Ben Esquibel and Fita D. Esquibel. Wilfred will always be remembered for his love for his family.

Outside of work, Wilfred had a zest for life and cherished the simple joys it offered. He had a particular fondness for fishing, finding solace and tranquility by the water's edge, where he could cast his line and spend hours connecting with nature. Wilfred also had an adventurous palate and enjoyed exploring new cuisines at restaurants, savoring every bite with relish.

In addition to his culinary explorations and fishing excursions, Wilfred never missed an opportunity to try his luck at the casino. The thrill of games of chance captivated him as he embraced both wins and losses with equanimity. His infectious enthusiasm drew others into the excitement of each game.

Wilfred will be profoundly missed by his surviving family members: his father Ben Esquibel; his mother Fita D. Esquibel; and his brother Julian Esquibel, and extended family members. The memories they created together will forever be cherished, providing comfort and solace during this difficult time.

To honor and celebrate Wilfred's life, funeral services will be held at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home, located at 110 Alvarado Drive SE in Albuquerque, NM. Visitation will take place on July 21, 2023, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. An additional service is scheduled on the same day from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. On July 22, 2023, viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, both at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home. Wilfred will then be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery, located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE in Albuquerque.

May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that his legacy lives on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
