Wayne A. Martinez, Sr.

Wayne A. Martinez Sr., age 63, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Saturday December 31st, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. 

Wayne was a hard-working man who encouraged his children to do the same. He loved his landscaping business and took pride in making his customers happy, many of whom became great friends. He loved his Denver Broncos, New Mexico green chile, collecting “antiques” a.k.a “junk”, and sneaking his grandchildren money and candy.

The one thing that made him the most proud was his family: his wife Trina of 37 years and his six children: Rita, Leticia, Wayne Jr., Shae, Tori, Tana and son-in-law Mike. His favorite people are his grandchildren: Ashly, Michael, Cianna, Autumn, Baby, Abrianna, Roselynn, Marina, Emmarae, Paisley, Bentley and Maddox. 

He is further survived by his father Elmer, step-mother Nancy, brothers, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was proceeded in death by his mother (“Mudder”) Mary, grandparents and brothers. 

He will always be remembered as My Love, Papa, Grandpa and Goon. We will miss his kindness and generous heart, as well as his sense of humor and charm. 

As per Wayne’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. The family requests that flowers and cards be sent to: 7418 Palm Ln SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.
