Virginia Ramona Martinez, a beloved mother, faithful Catholic, talented artist, passed away on August 02 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on February 03, 1964, in Albuquerque, and grew up in Carnuel, NM. Virginia graduated from Manzano High School and was deeply committed to her Catholic faith throughout her life.
Virginia was known for her caring and compassionate nature, always putting her family first. She a devoted mother to her children Filiberto, Floyd, and Floria, and cherished her grandchildren Ily, Anais, and Royce. Family was at the center of Virginia's world. Virginia loved her numerous nieces and nephews who lit up her world in addition she took great pride in watching her grandchildren grow and learn new things. She was very close to her mother Francis, who preceded her in death.
In her free time, Virginia enjoyed pursuing her hobbies and interests. She had a talent for drawing and was admired for her artistic skills. Cooking brought her joy, and she could often be found in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. She was inseparable from her beloved Chihuahua Charlie, who she shared many fond memories with and went everywhere she did. Virginia also had a deep appreciation for music, some of her favorite artists being; Conway Twitty, Elvis, George Strait, and Randy Travis. Virginia will be remembered for her kind and loving personality, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured forever.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Virginia is survived by her sisters Jeanette, Joanne, Marlene, Victoria, her brother Michael. She was a pillar of strength and love within her family, and her legacy of faith and compassion will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A Mass in memory of Virginia Ramona Martinez will be held on August 23, 2024, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church ( 820 Broadway Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87102), Rosary will begin at 8:30 AM, with the Mass commencing at 9:00 AM. Internment to follow at San Jose De Armijo Cemetery (2957 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121).
