Viola was born August 6th, 1940
She was an only child.
She was only 5 years old when her father died in World War ll in combat.
In 1960 she married Frank Murillo and had three children Debra Jean, her very beloved son Frank Steven and adored daughter Teresa Marie.
Three Grandchildren, Roxanne, her deceased husband Aaron, Carina, Her husband Jonathan, and David & wife Blaire, two great grandchildren, Caleb, Josiah and one on the way, Aspen Jean.
Viola was divorced at 30 years old and was diagnosed with a mental illness.
Viola was lost to this illness and when Debra was young she read a book called I Never Promised you a Rose Garden (a story about mental illness) Debra and her grandma and siblings had to accept the painful reality of the loss of her mom mentally.
But God intervened and when Viola was in her 60's she was put on thyroid medication and began to interact socially with family.
Viola came to live at Casa De Rosa which means House of a Rose. It was a God send for us that Viola had good care and was able to have independent living with caregivers watching over her 24 hours. And God did give us a Rose Garden. We could enjoy the last years of her life, overviewing her care and knowing she was at the best place for her needs. In Mama Vi's last years she dedicated herself to much prayer. She always through it all loved Jesus. He is who she called upon.
God's mercy was always with my mom and his provision for her goes beyond comprehension.
So we thought it would be appropriate to sing one of her favorite songs In The Garden.
If you want to send flowers, Please send a rose to Casa de Rosa, and we plan to plant a rose bush at Casa de Rosa and anyone is welcome to do the same for the residents and caregivers who reside at Casa de Rosa.
Also if instead of flowers you want to donate to those who are helping and counseling those in need please send donations to
