Vicki Hudson
August 17, 1955 – November 27, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vicki Hudson 69, who left us
peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Warren Michigan, she ended up in New Mexico
where she found a whole new and creative life. Vicki was a remarkable human being
whose love and kindness touched everyone around her. She lite up the room with her
laughter and her beautiful smile.
Vicki was an extraordinary wife, artist and a great friend, embodying devotion and love
for Richard throughout their eight years together. Their relationship was a beautiful
tapestry woven from shared experiences and cherished moments. There was nothing
Vicki and Richard didn’t do together, whether working the yard and creating a special
little area that they both loved, planting and caring for their little garden spaces
scattered around the yard.
Vicki loved to play in the workshop creating various forms of art. Vicki loved to learn and
find new ways of creating sculptures from found objects, this was new to her, but she
put a special magic into everything she made. Vicki's presence made every moment
special. Anyone that has one of her pieces of artwork say that there is something very
magical about it. Whether it was one of her sculptures or one of her beautiful and
natural pieces of stone jewelry.
Vicki was a child of nature; she loved walking in the woods looking for that special little
stone that would find its way into her pocket. She would reach down a pickup one up
and if it didn’t feel right, she would put it right back where she found it. Vicki loved
animals she had a bunch of pigmy goats, lots of dogs and she even had a monkey. Her
favorite dog was a husky named Spirit who would always keep her in view while she
poked around looking of artifacts and that special little medicine stone.
An avid reader, Vick found solace in reading about Native American history, and fictional
stories, she said that there was so much to be learned from the old ways.
Vicki was survived by her husband and partner of 12 years Richard, siblings Evelyn,
Franklin and Brenda children Josh, Nola and Jessica, grandchildren Garret Jaycie,
Bree, Raelynn and Emrys, Ayden Franklin Lisa Andrew, Maison and Great
grandchildren, Quinn, Beckett, Clara and so many friends that will truly miss her
Vicki’s generosity, kindness, and zest for life made her an extraordinary individual
whose light will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
