Tobias Wilhelm Humphreys

Tobias W. Humphreys passed away on September 3, 2024 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He was born on January 9, 1977 in Trier, Germany. He was a longtime resident of Rio Rancho with many friends and business associates.

Toby is survived by his son, Gavin Humphreys and his fiancé Yasmin of Albuquerque, his daughter Madison Humphreys of North Carolina, his parents Daniel and Sylvia Humphreys of Alamogordo, New Mexico, his sister Alyxandra and husband Justin Byars of Alamogordo and nephews Brodee, Jaxon, and niece, River Byars as well as uncles, aunts, and other living relatives. Toby was preceded in death by a brother, Christian Humphreys.

Toby graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1995 and was a proud member of the Alamogordo Tiger football team. He was a National Honor Society graduate and went on to attend New Mexico State University. He was a hardworking man, passionate in his long spanning career in the Low Voltage Industry. He would find special interest in Fiber Optics, starting a business of consulting and splicing.

Always an avid outdoorsman , Toby loved nothing more than Fishing and Hunting in the great American wilderness. He loved his kids, dogs, and his family, cherishing every opportunity to join them at the lake or on the hunt. He was a grill-master of the first degree and always took pride in cooking for everyone. His quick wit and kind heart will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 Family, friends and others whose lives Toby touched are invited to the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel, 110 Alvarado Drive SE in Albuquerque from 2p.m. – 4p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024 to celebrate Toby’s life, reminisce and support each other.
