Thomas Anthony Vigil, a proud U.S. Army Ranger, passed away at home on January 31, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with a chronic illness. He will be remembered not only for his strength and perseverance but also for his sharp sense of humor, wisdom, and his incredible ability to fix anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Ann Weig and Thomas Antonio Vigil, his niece, Christina, and numerous aunts and uncles.
Tommy is survived in life by his children, Amanda, Jacob, and Gilbert, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Violet, Catalina, Isaac, Monet, Kyoka, and Saori. Though he and Leslie Mallow parted ways, she remained an important, and constant part of his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Bonita, Rebecca, Laurie, Edwin, and Tania, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 4301 Atrisco Dr NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120.
Tommy will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, wisdom, and resilience will live on in the lives he touched.
May he rest in peace.
