Terice R. Ortega, age 53, a resident Rio Rancho, NM passed away on Monday Setember 30, 2024. Terice was born in Albuquerque, NM and was a graduate of Highland High School, Class of 1991. Terice married her husband Matthew in 1995 and moved their young family to Rio Rancho in 2004. Terice was a full time mom until 2016 when she started working for Rio Rancho Public Schools. She worked as a education assistant at Enchanted Hills Elementary and then as an administrative assistant at Cleveland High School. Terice cherished the relationships she was able to build with the kids and coworkers.
Terice is survived by her Husband Matthew, daughter Ashleigh & Fiancée Jason Hawkins; daughter Cerina; son Andrew; and many friends that she cared about deeply.
She is preceded in death by her father Larry V. Shain.
A celebration of life for Terice Ortega will be held on October 19, 2024 at 1100am. 
V. Sue Cleveland High School, in the Concert Hall. 4800 Cleveland Heights Rd NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87144.
Followed by a reception in the Cafeteria.
