Susan Whitten

August 22, 1946 — September 8, 2024

Susan Rae (Isakson) Whitten, 78 passed away September 8, 2024, in her home at Sky City, NM Susan was born August 22, 1946, in Omaha, NE She became the apple of her daddy & mama's eye in April 1952 when Ted and Myrna Isakson adopted her and made their family complete. Ted said, "she was the best birthday gift ever!" Susan was a graduate of Grand Island HS class of 1964 and Grand Island School of Beauty. In 1965 she married Bob deKok, in Grand Island, NE, to this union their daughter Michelle was born in 1969. In 1989 Susan met her soulmate Stephan Whitten in Colorado. They were married on September 26, 1993, in Las Vegas, NV. She accompanied Steve as he drove a semi-truck throughout the US. She was always in awe and admiration of God's beautiful work as they traveled. They shared years of love, laughter, and fun together along with the many adventures semi-truck living can bring.

Susan loved her family, friends, the USA, the beauty of fall colors, fresh cut flowers and clean crisp mountain air. She was a proud wife, mom and grandma. Susan was gifted with many talents as a beautician, as a wonderful seamstress (sewing many clothes and household items for her family), she enjoyed putting her ‘touch’ into a recipe as well. She could turn a simple house, no matter the size (even a semi-truck cab), into a warm and inviting home with her talents and endless craft ideas. She loved a good decorating challenge.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister in law,  aunts, uncles, cousins, sweet fur babies Daisy and Cuddles. She is survived by husband Steve of Sky City, NM, daughter Michelle(Chris) Pasquinelly of North Platte NE, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Dominic(Alyssa),Caden & Liam Pasquinelly of Lincoln, NE, Adam(Gabby) and Maeve Pasquinelly of Phoenix, AZ, Rebecca(Christopher) Dotson of North Platte, NE, her birth sister Nancy Wolfe of Casper WY & family, her brothers in law David(Sue) Whitten, Lowell(Sandra) Whitten, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
