Shirley Ann Collins

Shirley Ann Collins, 88, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away gently and peacefully on July 29, 2024.

Shirley was born on January 7, 1936 in Garland, Alabama to Jasper Doucet and Thelma Tent Doucet. She was the 5th daughter in a family of 6 siblings.

She was blessed with a large family of 7 children and their spouses, Tim and Bonnie Sullivan of Anaheim, CA, Billy Gene Collins Jr. Deceased, Karen Sue Deceased, Virginia (Ginger) Pennell of Albuquerque, NM, Ronald Lee Collins Deceased, Charles Edward Collins of Albuquerque, NM, Jerry (Jake) Burton and Cathy Collins of El Paso, Texas; as well as 9 grandchildren, Tyson Sullivan, Cory Sullivan, Casey Sullivan, Rebecca (Becca) Pennell, Jessica Osborne, Candice Collins, Brian DeCaro, Dean Cobb, Doug Cobb.

She was also blessed and loved greatly by 7 great-grandchildren. She is also remembered by countless other relatives, nephews, nieces, cousins and family friends

Strong, kind and caring, Shirley loved her family, shopping and country music.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia (Ginger) Pennell.

A Mass will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 9 am at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church 3423 4th St NW Albuquerque, NM.
