Sarah “Sally” Andrews passed away 1/5/25 of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Originally from Ohio, Sally moved out west after high school to work with special needs children at St. Michael’s on the Navajo Nation. She focused on helping children her entire career, most notably at San Antonito Elementary where she was also an active union member. She had a love of houseplants and wildflowers, finding new things to collect, comfy clothes, and anything Christmas related. Uncompromising in her kindness and support, you could only disappoint her by not being your authentic self. Diagnosed with, but never defined by, Multiple Sclerosis, her retirement was filled with day trips and casino outings, often documented in emails with abrupt subject lines. She leaves behind Richard, her husband of 48 years and two adult children Benjamin and Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Sally’s memory. https://donate.nationalmssociety.org/campaign/sarahandrews
