RUTH ANN HOMAN MORRISON,  RN, MS, PH.D 

September 28, 1941—June 24, 2022

Ruth passed away Friday, June 24^th at her home in Corrales, NM surrounded by her husband of over 50 years, Steve Morrison, and her beloved Akitas, Tomo and Yoshi. She was born in Erie, PA, the 5^th of 10 children to Raymond and Barbara Kolenda Homan.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Patsy Desin Evans, Dolores Harris, Gerry Homan, and her brothers, Raymond, Larry, and John, as well as her brother-in-law, Rick Morrison.  She is survived by her sisters, Dahte and Ann Homan of Erie, PA. and her brother, David of Rough and Ready, CA. She is also survived by her niece, Lynn Harris of Tennessee and her nephew, Dr. Stephen Homan of California. She grew up in McKean Township graduating from McKean High School and Hamot School of Nursing in Erie.   She then headed west to California and earned her Masters at UC Berkeley and Doctorate from Stanford in Medical Biochemistry. She worked as an RN for nearly 50 years in California, New Mexico, Germany, and Spain.  With Steve, she led a wonderfully full life as a gypsy traveler in their RV.   She will be missed by her family and all her many friends around the world.
