Rudolph “Rudy” Ezekiel Jaramillo, Age 74, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 28th, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. He was a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Rudy is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Isabel Jaramillo, his children Rubel Jaramillo and wife Dana, Angeline Jaramillo, Avrian Jaramillo and wife Victoria. Grandchildren Giovanna Jaramillo and Fiancé Francine Madrid, Nathaniel Martinez and wife Haley, Jude Jaramillo, Carlos Silva Jr, Jonah Jaramillo, Great Grandson Nikolas Jaramillo, Sisters Leonila Garces and MaryAnn Jaramillo, along with a large extended family of cousins, nephews, nieces and many friends.
Amongst other things, Rudy was a corrections officer for 15 years and always provided for his family. Rudy was a generous man, generous with his time, generous with his giving, but most of all, generous with his love. He loved his family, spending time with his wife, kids, and grandchildren. He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and a devoted brother to his Hermanos and Knights of Columbus. Under the tough exterior he portrayed, he was the most loving and caring man to everyone around him. There was never a dull moment when he was around, always telling jokes and making people laugh.
He had a love for old cars and motorcycles. He embraced learning new things, starting new projects, and conquering obstacles on his own. He had a love for New Mexican music, singing, and learning to play guitar. And not to mention, he had all the moves on the dance floor. Above all this, the love and devotion for his wife was unconditional. He was so proud to call her his wife and was not afraid to let everyone around him know how beautiful his sweetheart was.
Rudy will forever be remembered for his lively personality, funny jokes, and making all feel like family.
