Robert A. Brutyn

Robert A. Brutyn passed away on May 22, 2024 at the age of 68.  “Bob” was the cherished husband of Debra (Lynn Anderson), and the son of Joann and the late Robert Brutyn.  

Bob was born in Detroit on October 3, 1955 and raised in Michigan, graduating from Stevenson High School in 1973.  He attended the University of Michigan, where he attained a degree in radiation technology.  After working as an X-ray technician at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, he moved to Colorado to embark on a career in the automotive dealership industry. His successful business career also involved dealerships in Florida, California and New Mexico before his retirement in 2022.

Bob loved spending time with Debra and their dog Bella.  He kept in close contact with his family in Michigan, and made sure that he talked to his mom every morning.   

Bob is survived by his wife Debra; Stepson Bobby his sons Dante and Max and his mother Joann (the late Robert) of Clinton Township, Michigan; his brother Bill (Jan) of Sterling Heights, Michigan; sister Beth (the late Tim) O’Neill of Capac, Michigan; and his sister MaryJo (Gene) Jones of Sterling Heights, Michigan.  He was preceded in death  by his sister Cathy (Duane) Sroka of Port Huron, Michigan in 2000.  He is also survived by his Aunt Sylvia (the late Don) Trepanier, his grandchildren; Amelia, Joshua and Jordan,  along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bob will be truly missed and forever loved and cherished for his sense of humor, work ethic and unending devotion to his family and friends.
