Richard Candelaria Sr

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the passing of Richard Candelaria, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and brother. Richard was survived by his wife of 48 years, Soledad Candelaria, his children Richard, Jennifer, Michael, Vanessa, Vincent and wife Christon Candelaria, his 11 grand children, 5 great grand children, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Macario Candelaria, his mother, Agueda Candelaria, his brothers Joe, Leroy, and Jerry. Richard Candelaria was born April 6,1949, in Albuquerque, NM. He was 1 of 13 children. He retired from the City of Albuquerque. Richard had an unconditional love for his family as they were his pride and joy. Richard was a role model, a mentor, and a supporter to not only his family but to all in his life. Richard had a remarkable sense of humor and a calming demeanor. No one left his presence without being touched by his joy and positive energy. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and was a beacon of light and love and support in his family. He will be greatly missed by all.

Richard Candelaria services will be on Thursday, September 5th, at 11:00am at San Martin de Porres 8301 Camino San Martin SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121
