RACHEL (SILVA) FLORES

March 16, 1951-January 31, 2025

Rachel was called home to our Lord and was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Alfredo "Fred" Flores on Friday, January 31st, 2025, surrounded by her children and loving family at her home in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM.

Beloved Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt, Niece, Godmother and Friend.

Rachel was born in Las Cruces, NM to Agustine and Antonia Marquez Silva on March 16, 1951. She was the third of eight children, Erlinda (Sandoval), Velia, Agustine Jr., Michael, Eustaquio "Tiny", Edward, and Ralph Josef. 

Rachel met the love of her life Fred Flores and after much planning of their wedding, they eloped on July 17, 1968. They were inseparable all their lives. They were married for 46 years and had three beautiful children, Manuel "Boogie", Fred Jr., and Maria Candelaria "Candy". She had four grandchildren, Ashley, Cameron, Christopher, and Marissa, and two great-grandchildren, Julian and Davianna.

Rachel had a beautiful voice and sang in the church choir at The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her laughter was infectious and had the ability to light up any room. 

Rachel is preceded in death by her parents, Agustin and Antonia (Marquez) Silva. Her husband Alfredo "Fred" Flores and her son Manuel "Boogie" Flores.

Rachel is survived by her two children Fred Jr., wife Suzie (Medina), their son Cameron Flores and Maria Candelaria "Candy", her children, Ashley, Christopher, Marissa, and grandchildren Julian and Davianna. 

FUNERAL SERVICES: 

Rosary Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 8:00 AM at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary 9502 4th St. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. Funeral Mass to follow at 9:00 AM, Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery 7805 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113.
