Polo C Torres, 90
Born January 11, 1935, to Pedro and Porfelia Torres, Polo went to be with our Lord on March 18, 2025.
Polo is survived by his four children:
Debbie (Keith) Laidler
Vincent Torres
Ana (Ron) Davis
Desiree (John) Salmon
He is also survived by his brother Alfredo Torres (Mary Lou), six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Polo was preceded in death by his sister Ricarda Archibeque and brothers Candelario (Lalo), Juan Rey, and Melchor.
Polo was a dedicated member of the Army National Guard, where he served his country with honor and pride. His commitment to service extended beyond his military career, as he worked as a bricklayer for an impressive 65 years throughout the state of New Mexico. His craftsmanship and dedication to his trade left a lasting impact on the communities he served.
A devout Catholic, Polo's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He prayed daily and found solace and strength in his religious beliefs. His devotion to his faith was evident in the way he lived his life and the values he instilled in his family.
Polo shared a deep and loving bond with his wife, Mary Ann, with whom he enjoyed 62 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they cherished their time at the casino, where they created many fond memories. Polo also loved spending time with his family, whether it was camping trips or simply visiting with loved ones. His family was his pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
One of Polo's favorite pastimes was watching old westerns. He had an impressive memory for all the characters' names and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others. His love for these classic films was a testament to his remarkable memory and his appreciation for storytelling.
Polo's legacy is one of love, dedication, and faith. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew him. While we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that he and Mary Ann are together again, watching over us with love and pride.
Rest in Peace Polo.
