Peter Bayon

On February 12, 2024, Peter Bayon, of Albuquerque New Mexico, died of natural causes at his home, with friends at his bedside. Peter attended Mt. Olive High School, class of 1967. He graduated from SIU Edwardsville. He moved to Albuquerque where he attended the University of New Mexico. He then worked as a technician at Lovelace Medical Center, then as a Health Facilitator Surveyor for the state of New Mexico. 

 After retiring he was able to pursue his interest in propagating succulent plants by working for a nursery. He made a trip to South Africa to increase his knowledge of those plants. 

 Peter was married to Deb Pacheco and later divorced. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Wilbert Scheller of Mt. Olive, and his sister, Gretchen Martin of Arlington, VA. He is also survived by niece Tina Gretak (Bob), of Mt. Olive, nephews Michael Scheller (Francine) of Grantham, NH, Andrew Scheller of St. Louis, Mo, Matthew Martin (Amanda) and Joshua Martin (Kathy) of Arlington, VA, along with many great nieces and great nephews.

He will be remembered by all who knew him.
