Michael Christopher Otzenberger

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Otzenberger, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend who left us on October 12, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Michael was known for his warm spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family. His sense of humor could light up any room, and his kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kate Otzenberger, and their cherished daughter, Abigail Otzenberger. Michael was a loving son to Melinda Otzenberger and a supportive brother to Josh Otzenberger and his wife, Deanne, as well as Aaron Otzenberger and his wife, Karen. He will also be deeply missed by his stepfather, Jerry James, and his beloved nephews: Caiden and Caleb, Jordan and Gavin, and Caleb and Isaac. He has also left behind his father Jack Otzenberger and countless friends. 

Michael's passion for life was evident in everything he did. He cherished every moment with his family and friends, always ready with a smile or a helping hand. His ability to make others laugh and his generous spirit created a legacy of joy and love that will be remembered fondly.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held on November 1, 2024, beginning at 11:30 am, at Sagebrush North East Heights campus, allowing family and friends to come together to honor his memory. Michael was a true American to the bone, so in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tunnels to Towers in Michael's name.

He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
