Michael Wayne Holly, born on August 23, 1950 in Nashville, Michigan, passed away on January 28, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd "Pete" Holly and Elaine Dowling Holly, as well as his brother, Donald Holly. He is survived by his brother, Robert Holly, and his nephews, niece, and their families. Mike's life was marked by remarkable achievements and passions that defined him. A veteran who proudly served in the Navy, he exemplified courage and dedication in his service to his country. While in the Navy, Mike developed and honed his innate talent for understanding and mastering the complexities of computer technology. Following his military service, Mike utilized his computer skills throughout his civilian careers culminating in owning and operating KaMo Engravers, the business his father built. Mike had a passion for square dancing and square dance calling, it was a testament to his deep-rooted connection to his heritage. From a young age, he absorbed the intricate patterns and melodies, honing his skills following in his father's footsteps. As he matured, Mike's artistry flourished, earning him a reputation as a distinguished caller within the square dancing community. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mike was an avid outdoorsman who found solace and joy in the wilderness. Whether it was hunting in the quiet woods or casting his line in tranquil waters, nature provided him with endless opportunities for adventure with family and friends. Mike leaves behind a legacy of courage, determination, and ingenuity. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. A celebration of Michael Wayne Holly’s life will be held at the State Veterans Cemetery in Angel Fire, New Mexico on June 14, 2024 at 1:00pm.
