It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melissa Bustillos, a devoted mother, cherished friend, and beloved daughter, who left us on Thursday March 13, 2025. Melissa was a vibrant spirit whose energy lit up every room she entered, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Melissa was a proud mother, pouring her heart and soul into raising her children. Her love for them had no bounds, and she dedicated herself to creating a nurturing environment filled with laughter, support, and unforgettable memories. She taught them the importance of kindness, strength, and laughter, instilling values that will last a lifetime.

 As a daughter, Melissa was a source of joy and pride for her family and unafraid to show it. Her caring nature and strong spirit brought people together, and her infectious laughter could brighten even the gloomiest of days. She had an unparalleled ability to make every gathering a celebration, embodying the true essence of living life to the fullest.

Melissa was not just a friend; she was a confidant and a source of unwavering support. Her genuine compassion and loyalty earned her numerous lifelong friendships. She was always ready to lend an ear, share a laugh or DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY (If you know, YOU KNOW) She was the life of the party, always ready to lift others’ spirits and create lasting memories filled with joy and laughter. Known for her resilience and strength, Melissa faced life’s challenges with unwavering courage and grace. She inspired everyone around her with her positive outlook and unyielding spirit, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those she touched.

Melissa is survived by her parents, Luisa and Felix Bustillos; her six siblings, Erendira, Mauricio, Armando, Marcos, Leticia, and Maricela and our honorary sister Almyrah. Additionally, her brothers- in law Mario and George, and sisters -in- law, Antionette, and Miriam, continue to honor her memory. Melissa will be remembered fondly by her fifteen nieces and nephews and most importantly by her three beautiful children, Damani, Tyree, and Jada, who all will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Her legacy of love, laughter, and strength will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of Melissa’s life will be held on Friday, March 28th, 2025 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Rio Vista Church of the Nazarene 8701 Golf Course RD NW Albuquerque, NM 87114, where friends and family are invited to come together to honor the remarkable woman she was.  Though she may no longer be with us, Melissa Bustillos will forever remain in our hearts, and her light will continue to shine brightly in our lives.

Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Melissa Bustillos, una madre devota, una querida amiga y una querida hija, que nos dejó el jueves 13 de marzo de 2025. Melissa era un espíritu vibrante cuya energía iluminaba cada habitación en la que entraba, y todos los que la conocieron la extrañaremos profundamente. Melissa era una madre orgullosa que dedicaba su corazón y su alma a criar a sus hijos. Su amor por ellos no tenía límites y se dedicó a crear un ambiente enriquecedor lleno de risas, apoyo y recuerdos inolvidables. Ella les enseñó la importancia de la bondad, la fuerza y la risa, inculcándoles valores que durarán toda la vida. Como hija, Melissa era una fuente de alegría y orgullo para su familia y no tenía miedo de demostrarlo. Su naturaleza solidaria y su espíritu fuerte unían a las personas, y su risa contagiosa podía alegrar incluso los días más sombríos. Tenía una habilidad incomparable para hacer de cada reunión una celebración, encarnando la verdadera esencia de vivir la vida al máximo.

Melissa no era sólo una amiga; ella era una confidente y una fuente de apoyo inquebrantable. Su genuina compasión y lealtad le valieron numerosas amistades para toda la vida. Ella siempre estaba lista para escuchar, compartir una risa o BAILAR TODA LA NOCHE (Si lo sabes, LO SABES). Ella era el alma de la fiesta, siempre lista para levantar el ánimo de los demás y crear recuerdos duraderos llenos de alegría y risas. Conocida por su resiliencia y fortaleza, Melissa enfrentó los desafíos de la vida con valentía y gracia inquebrantables. Ella inspiró a todos los que la rodeaban con su actitud positiva y su espíritu inquebrantable, dejando una marca indeleble en las vidas de aquellos a quienes tocaba. A Melissa le sobreviven sus padres, Luisa y Félix Bustillos; sus seis hermanos, Eréndira, Mauricio, Armando, Marcos, Leticia y Maricela y nuestra hermana honoraria Almyrah. Además, sus cuñados Mario y George, y sus cuñadas, Antionette y Miriam, continúan honrando su memoria. Melissa será recordada con cariño por sus quince sobrinos y sobrinas y, lo más importante, por sus tres hermosos hijos, Damani, Tyree y Jada, quienes llevarán su memoria en sus corazones para siempre. Su legado de amor, risas y fuerza seguirá inspirando y elevando a todos los que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla.

Se llevará a cabo una celebración de la vida de Melissa el viernes 28 de marzo de 2025 de 11 a. m. a 1 p. m. en Rio Vista Iglesia del Nazareno 8701 Golf Course RD NW Albuquerque, NM 87114, donde se invita a amigos y familiares a reunirse para honrar a la mujer extraordinaria que fue.

Aunque ya no esté con nosotros, Melissa Bustillos permanecerá para siempre en nuestros corazones y su luz seguirá.
