In loving memory of Mary 'Lorraine' Johnson who was called home on February 14th, 2025. Lorraine was born on November 17, 1945, in Washington, D.C., where she spent her younger years. There she met the love of her life, married, and began their life together. Lorraine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that saw the good in everyone she met. She travelled the world together with her husband from the time they married until the time he was called home.
Lorraine only wanted to be known as a child of God and made it her mission to help whoever and wherever she saw a need. She was known for her kindness, especially toward the young and elderly. Some of those recipients of her love may have already passed, but there are many who are still blessed because they interacted with her.
Lorraine had a love for the Lord and was blessed and highly favored. God was always making ways out of no way! She had the faith of a mustard seed and that is why she floated through life as the angel she was.
Her love for her family was unwavering. She leaves to cherish her memory eight children, twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, special friends, as well as extended family and friends.
Lorraine will be laid to rest with her husband in Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, Maryland.
