We are saddened to announce the passing of Mark Anthony Baca, 60, on November 10th, 2024. He was born in Albuquerque on February 25, 1964, to Edward Baca and Patricia Algien-Baca. Mark retired from the City of Albuquerque. Mark was an avid hunter/fisherman and participated in many bowling and softball leagues throughout the years. In his life he enjoyed numerous hunting and fishing trips with his family and friends. He took great pride in raising his cattle at his father’s ranch in Bernal, NM, which is how he spent most of his weekends. Mark was loved by many and had numerous friends and family who he truly cherished.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Edward Baca, mother, Patricia Algien-Baca, and brother, Peter Baca.
Mark is survived by his daughters, Nicole Baca and Andrea Baca; granddaughter Luna Grace; Brother Richard “Rick” Baca and nephew Richard “Ricky” Baca Jr; nephew Eloy Gonzales; godson Dwight “DJ” Flores Jr; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, great nephews and great nieces.
The following are serving as pallbearers: Ronald Tapia, Ronald Tapia Jr, Daniel Tapia, Justin Tapia, Jacob Edwell, and Lawrence Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers: Richard “Ricky” Baca Jr, Eloy Gonzales, Dwight “DJ” Flores Jr, and Wyatt Edwell.
Mark will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
