Together they had 3 children: Rhonda, Terri, and Emeterio (Emet) Jr.
Lydia was a dedicated mother and home maker. She treasured her children and grandchildren. Lydia loved cooking and sewing which included making quilts. She loved to give them to family members. She also for many years did leather work. At the beginning of their marriage, she made Pete a belt and a wallet. He continued to use them up until the day when he went home with the Lord. She also did upholstery work; many times throughout their lives together you would find several furniture pieces she did in her home. Lydia and her husband Pete were active in the Catholic Church. Lydia and spouse Pete built a home for their family on the ranch where all of their children now reside. They both taught us that family is what is important. They loved to travel as often as they could. They spent as much time as they could at their home away from home in Conchas, NM. There they spent time on the boat and fished until the sun went down.
Lydia and Pete touched many hearts by leading the marcha in lots of weddings. They loved to dance together and are now dancing away in Heaven. Lydia was such a caring and loving grandmother. She loved to spend her time teaching her grandchildren about the Bible and was always singing to them. She would sing her two favorite songs, “Jesus loves me” and “Zacchaeus”.
