Lucille Rosemary Gutierrez

October 25, 1939 – February 26, 2025

Lucille was born October 25, 1939 to Primitivo and Senobia Saavedra and passed away on February 26, 2025. She was a lifelong resident of New Mexico.

She is survived by her husband Raymon, daughter Flora Sanchez, Son Eddie Gutierrez (Bernadette), five grandchildren Samantha Gutierrez, Ciara Sanchez, Marcus Gutierrez (Genevive), Benjamin Gutierrez, and Elijah Sanchez, and one great grandson Cristiano Sanchez. She is also survived by her sister Betty Minero and brother Paul Saavedra.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family. She enjoyed watching UNM Lobo basketball games, camping, family gatherings, her grandchildren, singing, freshly planted flowers every spring, and playing at the casino. She was known for her generosity, always willing to help those in need. She was protective and loving. She was actively involved and supportive of her children’s many activities. She and Raymon worked long, hard hours to build a successful sand and gravel business for over 50 years. She was a woman of strength, resilience, strong faith, insight and love. She will be dearly missed by those of us left behind. Our hearts are lighter because she is no longer suffering physically. Our faith strengthens us knowing that she is with our Lord and Savior as well as those who have passed on before her including her mother and father, sisters Margie Torres, Nancy Romero, and brothers Jimmy, Richard, and Johnny Saavedra, as well as many loved ones that have passed on before her. We love you mom. Goodbye until we see you again.
