Lorenzo "Larry" Casaus Sr.

Lorenzo "Larry" Casaus Sr. age 89, climbed the stairway to Heaven to be with the Lord, on January 12, 2025. Lorenzo was born on July 2, 1935 in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. 

Lorenzo was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. 

He is survived by his wife Carmen Casaus, daughter, Carla Lovato and husband Ernie, sons, Mark Casaus and wife Rita, Lorenzo Casaus Jr. and wife Kristina, Alfred Casaus Sr. and wife Melissa. Grandchildren, Elisha Baiardo and husband Justin, Ralph Lovato and wife Brittany, Mia Casaus, Angelina Casaus, Horatio Ashe, Tristan Ashe, Alfred Casaus Jr., and Lorenzo Casaus III. Great-grandchildren Claudia and Elias Varela, Dante and Reve Lovato. Also surviving are his sisters, Virginia Johnson and husband Melvin, Lupe Ruiz, and Debbie Ravago, many nieces, nephews and many close friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Rose Casaus, sister, Lilly Casaus, brothers, Henry O'Conner, Richard, Ted, Leo, Eloy and Joe Casaus. 

Lorenzo was a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, N.M., He loved his country and served in the United States Navy. He owned and operated an auto mechanic shop "Larry's Service Center" since 1971. He also served as the Municipal Judge for the town of Bernalillo for 18 years, and was a member of the Sandoval County Sheriff's Posse. 

Lorenzo loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He also loved golfing, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and welding. 

Lorenzo will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. May he rest in peace with the Lord. 

Memorial Services will take place on February 28,2025 beginning at 10:00 am., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, New Mexico.
