Leroy Ruben Vigil

Leroy Ruben Vigil, age 64, passed away on November 07, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on July 8, 1960 to Jose T Vigil and Maria F Aragon. 

Leroy lived a life imbued with dedication and passion. 

Leroy found solace in the great outdoors. Fishing and engaging in various outdoor activities gave him a profound sense of tranquility and allowed him to revel in the natural beauty that surrounded him. Such moments would surely have brought him immeasurable joy and contentment.

 In sharing his passion for the NFL team known as the San Francisco 49ers, Leroy displayed unwavering loyalty that mirrored his steadfast character. The camaraderie forged through supporting this team undoubtedly fostered cherished memories amongst family and friends alike. 

Above all else, Leroy’s heart belonged to his family and friends. Their company brought him immense happiness and enriched his life immeasurably. He shared a profound bond with his daughter Cruzita Gonzales as well as with each sibling-Henry and Lucy, Don and Deanna, Jeanie and Raymond, Yolanda- and treasured every moment spent together. Indeed, Leroy’s heart extended beyond immediate kin; he was blessed with numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins who adored him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Maria Vigil and brothers Jesus, Victor, Michael, and Joseph Vigil.  In this time of grief, let us remember the remarkable life of Leroy Vigil- a life lived with dedication and passion, and a love for those around him. May the memories we hold dear provide solace as we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind.

The memorial services will take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church located at 1400 Arenal Rd SW Albuquerque, NM 87105. The rosary will begin at 8:15 am followed by the mass at 9:00 am. The reception will follow immediately after the mass.
