Lawrence Salazar (Boobie) Salazar passed away peacefully at his home with his wife and daughter by his side Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the age of 80.

Lawrence was the eldest of 15 children born to Isauro and Carmen Salazar. He was born in Alcalde, New Mexico, where he was raised with his siblings. At the young age of 20, Lawrence would meet the the love of his life, Mary Lovato. They married on June 20, 1964, and 4soon after they would start a family.

Lawrence moved his family to Albuquerque in 1970. He earned the name Boobie because that was what he called everyone he met. He worked with the Carpenters Union and was part of many big projects built in Albuquerque, the twin towers downtown and Presbyterian Hospital for instance.

Lawrence loved life and loved people, there was never a person that he couldn't make laugh and friends anywhere and everywhere he had. He had laughter that was infectious and will be missed.

He loved animals, loved camping, hunting, and fishing with his brothers and friends. He truly was a happy, lovable person and always had a story to tell.

Loved ones that cleared the path for Lawrence are his son Nathan Salazar, father Isauro Salazar, mother Carmen Salazar, brothers, Felix Salazar and Isidoro (Izzy ) Salazar.

Loved ones that will miss Lawrence until they meet again are his wife Mary Salazar, son Norman Salazar, son Eric (Anna) Salazar and daughter Katelyn Salazar. Brothers and sisters, Milford (Marcella) Salazar, Bernadette (Mardy) Martinez, Eddie Salazar, Hubert Salazar, Jay Salazar, Diolanda (Philip deceased) Sena, Elaine (Richard) Vasquez, Steven (Margaret) Salazar, Janell (Gene) Chavez, Lea-Etta (Pam) Vigil, Melinda (Jesus) Espinoza, Ryan (Lori) Salazar.
