Lawrence Cruz

August 4, 1952 — October 25, 2023

On October 25, 2023 Lawrence (Larry) M Cruz age 71, entered into heaven in Albuquerque, NM after courageously and bravely battling cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Cornelius and Catherine Cruz; brother Cornelius Cruz Jr, sisters; Sophie Atencio, Mary Lente, Linda Baros, Maddie Moffett and Angel Tafoya. Larry is survived by his wife of 33 years Ginny Cruz; his nephew Ben Atencio and his family; brother-in-law Carl Dreves and his family; along with many other nieces and nephews and his many friends in California. Larry was born on 08/04/52 in Albuquerque and graduated from Valley High School. He went on to attend SIPI where he was recruited by AT&T. Larry moved to the California Bay Area with AT&T where he met Ginny. He retired with AT&T after 30 years of service and returned to Albuquerque where he worked for the Pueblo of Sandia for 9 years. Larry was a generous, happy, humble, kind and loving person. He loved his Dodgers, 49ers and his fantasy football league. He will be dearly missed by his wife and his two little Mini Schnauzers, Schotzi and Rocky. The family would like to thank Nevaeh Hospice, especially Jennifer Lopez and Cintiya, for their loving care, along with the care he received at The WaterMark at Cherry Hills assisted living, these are the angels among us. As he wished, his ashes will be scattered along with his beloved dogs, Max and Jackpot in the Jemez Mountains at a later date.
