Larry “Chapo” Moralez, 53, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023. Chapo grew up in Albuquerque, a town he loved and never left. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Chapo was predeceased by his mother, Lorraine Moralez. Chapo leaves behind his father, Albert Moralez; wife of 23 years, Adelina Martinez; his children, Joshua Moralez (Pamela), Lori Moralez, Larry Moralez Jr. (Kia), Matias Sainz (Tania), Gabriel Martinez and Marie Moralez; his grandchildren, Harmony, Krystelyn, Jacob, Jazmine, Camryn, Mavela, Mila and Aria; his brother, Aden Moralez; his sister, Wanda Garcia; and his nephews, AJ (Leachie), Johnny, and Aden. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Dr SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105 Friday, May 26, 2023, at 8:00 a.m., a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. with Mass of Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow immediately at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery, 2957 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.
The pallbearers will be AJ Moralez, Johnny Moralez, Joshua Moralez, Larry Moralez Jr., Matias Sainz and Gabriel Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lori Moralez, Marie Moralez, Aden Moralez Jr., Jacob Moralez and Isaiah Moralez.
