Karl John Francis

Karl John Francis died March 16, 2023 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at
the early age of 66.

Karl Francis Lopez was born in Los Alamos, New Mexico on Oct 15,
1956 to Raymond B. Lopez and Helen S. Lopez, both deceased. He
graduated from Taos High School in 1974. Karl later changed his name
to Karl John Francis.

He moved around the country and even lived in Australia for a short
time. He finally settled in Albuquerque where he served in the Army
National Guard from 1990 to 2004. In 2001, Karl was in Southeast Asia
in support of Operation Panther Sentry. And also in Saudi Arabia in
2003 - 2004 for Operation Noble Eagle.

He is survived by his brothers, David R. Lopez of Pagosa Springs,
Colorado and Kenneth B. Lopez of Helsinki, Finland. He is also survived
by his sisters, Theresa (Tish) M. Cristiano of Murphy, North Carolina,
Geraldine C. Paxton, of Loveland Colorado, and Laurie A. Russell, of
Bumpass, Virginia. We all miss you.

A private ceremony for Karl will be held later.
