Karen Renee Gentry Jones

Karen Renee Gentry Jones, 61, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2023, leaving behind cherished memories and a profound impact on everyone who knew her. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend whose infectious laughter and beautiful smile will forever remain in our hearts.

Born on November 16, 1961, in Cape May, New Jersey to Allen L Sullivan and Caroline L Lindsay, Karen was raised by her loving grandparents William and Dorothy Hidinger in El Paso, Texas. She pursued her dreams by earning an associate degree in business management which led her to become an entrepreneur and successfully own and operate her own business.

Karen lived life to the fullest without hesitation and had the natural ability to connect with anyone she met- she never knew a stranger. Her happiest moments were spent traveling and sightseeing with her family who she adored deeply. Karen leaves behind five children- Billy Gentry, Cheyenne Blanchard, Sondra Williamson, Charlie Jones, and Sherry Jones.

Those closest to Karen will remember her for the joy that she brought into their lives. Her quick-witted comebacks would always leave those around her laughing hysterically. The moments that we shared with Karen touched our hearts deeply- they will stay with us forever.

The family is holding a private inurnment as per Karen's wishes.

The following Bible verse expresses our hearts and souls, Psalm 34:18: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed." We take comfort in knowing that she is now with our Lord.

Karen's presence will be missed beyond measure- but we will forever treasure the memories we shared with her. May her kind soul rest in eternal peace.
