James Tenorio

James Dimas Tenorio passed away on January 1, 2024 at the age of 76. He was born in Willard, NM on April 7, 1947 to Francisquita and Maximiliano Tenorio. At an early age his family moved to Martineztown in Albuquerque, NM. He spent many years as a maintenance worker  for Neurology Associates of New Mexico and for Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. 

James is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Nicolas, Margaret, Alice, Arcenio, Lupe, and former wife Rufina (Ulibarri) Tenorio.

He is survived by his daughters Sharon Tenorio (Raymond) and Angela Acevedo. Granddaughters Julie Tenorio, Marina Trujillo, Joshua Pohl, and Olivia Pohl. Sisters Aneda Mora, Rita Padilla, Stella Gutierrez (Charles) and Janice Maestas (Angelo); and, his brother Frank Tenorio.

James enjoyed life and would laugh and joke often. He loved greatly and lived a life of enthusiasm. Nothing was more important to him than his family and their happiness. The brightness of his spirit was always visible and he had a great sense of humor. James had a passion for serving others and could often be found volunteering for charitable organizations such as the Good Shepherd, attending  AA meetings regularly and sponsoring countless recovering alcoholics as he proudly celebrated 41 years of sobriety. We will forever miss him. 

Services for James will be held on Friday, February 2nd, beginning with the rosary at 8:30am.and the funeral mass at 9:00 a.m. at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 3424 4th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM. Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM. Guests are invited to a reception at noon at the Moose Lodge located at 2121 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
