Ignacio “Nash” Espinoza, age 76, was called home to be with the lord on May 2, 2024, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Born on April 12, 1948, in Martinez Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nash lived a full and vibrant life, deeply cherished by his family and friends. Nash is survived by his beloved daughters, Michelle Blair, and Renee Jordan; his treasured grandchildren, Shane Weisend, Jordan Weisend, Sydney Jordan, and Brandon Blair; and his great-grandchild, Easton Gurule. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Mary Caron and her husband Sam Caron, Ann Espinoza, as well as his “brother from another mother,” Richard Hallam. Nash leaves behind 4 nieces, 3 nephews, including Benjamin and Jeremey Caron, and 8 grand nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Lisa Espinoza; his brother, Ray Espinoza; and his parents, Domie and Alfredo Espinoza. Nash attended the University of New Mexico and had a distinguished career with the United States Postal Service before his retirement. He proudly served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War, where he earned three Purple Hearts for his extraordinary bravery and sacrifice. Nash was a man of many passions. He adored his family, loved hunting and fishing, and cherished the time he spent at his cabin. Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), Nash connected with many through his kindness and communicative skills. A memorial service to celebrate Nash's life will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 10:30 am. Nash's legacy of love, courage, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
