HAROLD W. KECK, SR went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on June 7, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Catherine M. Keck; Son: Harold W. Keck, Jr and wife, Glenna; Son: Curtis Keck and wife, Bettina; Daughter: Kathy Keck Garcia and husband, Rudy; and Son: James Keck and wife, Cyndi. Harold leaves behind a rich and deep legacy of 10 wonderful grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
During his adulthood, he found his calling when he enlisted in the United States Air Force and embarked on his long and devoted service to our beautiful USA lasting 26 years in the USAF. Harold achieved tremendous success in his AF career, culminated by achieving the highest rank of Air Force enlisted personal, Chief Master Sergeant. During his long Air Force service, he started as a superb Avionics technician; became a successful supervisor and was promoted to outstanding leader and mentor. He was especially proud of his service during Viet Nam, support to the Cold War in Germany and as an integral part of USAF Military Airlift Command’s inspection teams that traveled the world. He forever changed the USAF, by personally leading the acquisition of the C17 avionics package. After retiring from the Air Force, Harold continued his outstanding support to the US military, working as a defense contractor at Kirtland AFB and White Sands Missile Range until he retired a second time.
The joyous celebration of his promotion to heaven will be recognized by friends and family and he will be interred at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors. A Funeral Service will be held on June 15, 2023, beginning at 10:00 AM at Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow the services at 2:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full honors as afforded by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
