Giovanni Baca Carrillo

Giovanni “Gio” Adrian Baca Carrillo passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 33, to be with the Lord. He was a loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend, known for his generous spirit and unwavering kindness.

Gio was born in Anaheim, California, on December 11, 1990, to parents Carlos Baca and Rachel Carrillo Negrete. He graduated in 2009 from Glen A. Wilson High School. He came to live in Albuquerque, NM, in 2012 to be close to family. He decided to make Albuquerque his permanent home. He recently finished his education and was a Machinist for a local company in Albuquerque. He was proud to be a machinist and support his family with his new career. Gio loved America and his guns but loved his family more. He prioritized his family in everything he did. He was a massive part of so many people’s lives and will leave a whole missing in many.

He is survived by his two daughters, Elena and Christina, wife Jacqueline, and three stepchildren, Ana, Audi, and. AJ. Parents Carlos Baca, Rachel Carrillo Negrete, and Stepmom Eva Guzman. Siblings Albert, Abel, Vanessa, Bianca, Christopher, Michael, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of Gio’s life will be held on August 9 at 3:00 p.m. at Albuquerque Three Angels Church at 10750 Sunset Gardens Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to help with funeral arrangements at https://gofund.me/c10a982f. 

Gio’s warmth and love for others will never be forgotten, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
