On February 14th Gilbert A. Armijo passed away at the age of 90 years old. Gilbert was known as Gil. He was dedicated to his profession as a glazer for over forty years and he never missed a day of work. He was very generous, easygoing, and always willing to help others. His smile was infectious, and he had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was known for always having candy for them. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the slots at the casino. Gil and his wife Graciel enjoyed going to the horse races in Santa Fe when they were younger.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his father William, mother Minnie, siblings Billy, Johnny, Pete, and Helen, and children Fermin, Albert, and Vivian. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Graciel; his children Bill, Edward, Juanita, Alfred, and Gilbert; sister MaryAnn; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Services are on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Trujillo Family Funeral Home Chapel at 110 Alvarado Dr. SE. The viewing will be from 9:00 am - 9:30 am, the Recitation of the Holy Rosary from 9:30 am – 10:00 am, and the Funeral Mass from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
