Gaylene Garcia 66 of Chama New Mexico passed away in Albuquerque New Mexico on December 11,2022. Gaylene was born in Chama New Mexico on June 25,1956 to Severa Garcia and raised by Conrad Rivas.

Gaylene worked as a cashier and enjoyed dancing and gambling at casinos.

Gaylene is survived by mother Severa Garcia, brothers Dennis Garcia, Onofre, Ricky, and Gilbert Velarde, daughter Antoniette Abeyta, Son Anthony F Abeyta Jr.(Lorie), granddaughters Jessica Martinez, Mika Abeyta, Tasia Manzanares, Laura Quintana, grandsons Anthony Martinez, Jonathon Abeyta, Joshua Maestas, Jesse Vigil, Brendon Stuart, and Robert Galvdon,  great-grandchildren Jude Archuleta, Felicianna Garcia, Joel Lopez, Myles, Mykenzie, Myah Vigil, and was predeceased by Daughter Angel Abeyta, Father Conrad Rivas, brother Sandy Valdez, two aunts she was very close to Flora Velarde, and Viola Martinez.

Memorial services will be held at St. Patrick's Church Chama, New Mexico on April 15, 2023 at 10 am.
