Fred Krahn III

It is with heavy hearts, we announce Fred Krahn III has joined our Lord on Thursday. March 6, 2025, at 73 years old in Albuquerque, NM. Fred was born in Amarillo, TX on December 20, 1951. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. As an avid Rams fan, he enjoyed watching football with his sons and delighted in the company of his grandchildren.

Fred is survived by his wife, Berna Krahn; son Michael Benavides and wife Shaunte; son Ronnie Benavides and wife Traci; son Fred Krahn IV and wife Christy; son Erik Krahn and wife Leslieann Krahn; daughter Brittany Ruiz and husband Michael; Grandchildren Erika Benavides, Michael Benavides Jr., Shennah Benavides, Joseph Benavides, Devynn Sloan, Gage Starkey, Nevaeh Jaramillo, Derik Krahn, Forever Krahn, Jeremy Ruiz, Isaiah Ruiz and Makayla Ruiz; Great Grandchildren Taylor Benavides, Ezra Benavides, Jayden Sargent, Jameson Benavides and Tristan Benavides.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Krahn II; mother Lynda Smith; brother Bobby Don Krahn; sisters Jackye Ellis and Bonnie Freeman; grandson Erik Krahn Jr.; and daughter in law Stacey Sloan.
