Evaristo “Buddy”” Horacio Montoya entered the gates of Heaven the morning of November 30, 2024, in Albuquerque, NM, after a long battle with heart issues, at the age of 74. He was born on October 26, 1950 to Ruby Barela, and Antonio Montoya. Buddy is survived by his daughter Bernadette and son Max; grandchildren: Kane (Alyssa), Kendra (Cody), Danessa (Jonathan), Ricky, Diego and Max Jr., and one great grandchild: Kash with another on the way. Also, along with many extended family members and his church family.
Buddy was a proud Vietnam Veteran and was a member of the Patriot Riders, American Legion, and many community and faith based missions. His passion in his life was to ride his Harley and he himself indicated that he had a good life given that he had 215,000 miles on his bike; having risen to Sturgis twice, the entire PCH costal highway, Rocky Point, and several bike runs to Laughlin as well as throughout the State of New Mexico. Buddy was known for his quiet demeanor, yet his presence was vast. Buddy was a prideful man and always dressed to a “T”, the long hair was his signature!!
May Buddy “Bud” rest in peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
