With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Elfie Contreras, He was a
devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Dog father. He gained his wings and left us
with cherished memories and broken hearts. Though our hearts ache with his absence,
we take comfort in knowing he is preceded in death by his parents Elfego and Anita
Contreras, and his brother Ronald.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Carmen, his daughter Andrea (Ed), and
his grandchildren Rachel, Christopher, and Aaron. They were his world and which he
was so proud of them. He’s also survived by his best friend, his dog (Yankee), his sister
Ramona (Joe) and brother John.
Elfie worked for Ford for 48 years. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, LA
Lakers and Dodgers (he often argued with Rachel as to why she was a Yankees fan).
He had season tickets to the Cowboys games for many years. He even went with his
grandkids to see the LA Lakers which happened to be Kobe Bryant's last game. He
loved the excitement of traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. Elfie was
never afraid to tell you exactly what he was thinking. His favorite saying was “You’re shitting me”
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and forever be remembered in our
hearts.
