Eddie Salazar

It is with great sadness to announce Eddie A. Salazar beloved brother and uncle passed away on December 26th, 2024 at the age of 73 in Albuquerque, NM.

Eddie was born May 20th, 1951 to Isauro and Carmen Salazar in the small town of Alcalde, NM he was the 6th out of 15 siblings.

At the young age of 14 under the care of his cousin Arturo, Eddie left to pursue his dreams of becoming a Jockey. Tragedy struck in 1972 during a horseracing accident in Nebraska which left him paralyzed. Despite being unable to walk anymore, Eddie didn't let anything hold him back he lived life to the fullest.

Eddie had a heart of gold. He loved animals, playing the guitar, fishing, hunting, calling friends and family, feeding the birds, and spending time with his loved ones. He will be missed tremendously.

Eddie is preceded in death by his father Isauro Salazar, Mother Carmen Salazar, brothers Lawrence Salazar, Felix Salazar, and Isidoro (Izzy) Salazar.  He is survived by 5 brothers Milford (Marcella) Salazar, Hubert Salazar, Jay Salazar, Steven (Margaret) Salazar, and Ryan (Lori) Salazar 6 sisters Bernadette (Mardy) Martinez, Diolanda (Phillip Deceased) Sena, Elaine (Richard) Vasquez, Janell (Gene) Chavez, Lea-Etta (Pam) Vigil, Melinda (Jesus) Espinoza and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
