Dorothy Emelia Armijo Blea

March 17, 1945 – February 25, 2025

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we say goodbye to our guiding light, Dorothy Armijo Blea, who passed away on February 25, 2025, in Albuquerque, NM. Born on St. Patrick’s Day in 1945, she was our four-leaf clover—our greatest blessing—bringing luck, love, and light into each of our lives.

Dorothy’s greatest joy was her family. She devoted her life to her husband and children, raising her two sons, Anthony and Ronnie Blea, with unconditional love and a heart big enough to foster a family. To her grandchildren—Loretta, Justin, Michael, Brianna, and Isaiah Blea—she wasn’t just Grandma; she was Mom, their guiding star. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren, Summer and Azariah Garcia, whom she cherished deeply. Dorothy’s love knew no bounds, and if you were lucky enough to be loved by her, you felt it in your soul.

She was the heart of our home, the warmth in every hug, and the magic in every meal. Dorothy’s kitchen was always open, her table always full, and her arms always ready to embrace anyone who needed love, comfort, or just a taste of her incredible cooking. She turned ordinary days into treasured memories.

The youngest of eight siblings—Phyllis, Betty, Connie, Doris, Richard, Jim, Joe, and Henry Armijo—Dorothy was the light in their lives, the baby sister.

Music was her soul’s language, and her love for Elvis and classic tunes was a reflection of the joy she carried within her.

Dorothy was a force—strong, glamorous, and full of fire. She was as dazzling as the Vegas lights and as comforting as the glow of home. She never did anything halfway. If she loved you, she loved you fiercely. If she cared for you, she would move mountains to make sure you were okay. She gave her whole heart to this world, and in return, she made it a more beautiful place.

Her love, her laughter, her unwavering devotion will never fade. It will live on in the family she built, in the stories we share, and in the countless lives she touched. Though she is no longer at our table, her spirit will always be with us, filling our hearts with warmth, guiding us like the brightest star in the sky.

We love you forever, Dorothy. You were our home, our heart, our everything.
