Dominick Joseph Russo
1993-2023
Another Angel gone to Heaven!
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dominick Joseph Russo. He was a remarkable individual who unexpectedly left this world due to a Post-Operative infection that took hold swiftly and tragically claimed his precious heart.
Dominick leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his father, Al Russo, his mother, Stacy Wright, and his grandmother, Mary Wright. He is also mourned by his sister, Andrea Chapman, and his brothers, Anthony and Michael Klienhenz. In addition, he leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins from both the Russo and Wright families, as well as countless friends who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Dominick possessed an undeniable handsomeness that made him stand out in any room. With an innate sense of style, he took great pride in his appearance and always made sure to dress impeccably. Whether he was recovering from foot surgery or exploring the vibrant nightlife scene at clubs, Dominick placed great importance on looking his best.
During the past year of his life, Dominick developed a passion for cooking nutritious meals. He eagerly sought out recipes from his mother, aunts, and uncles. Even while undergoing dialysis treatments - where he undoubtedly held the title of the best-dressed patient - he would research new culinary ideas to nourish himself and others.
As much as Dominick enjoyed exploring new experiences and surroundings, he deeply missed his home in Albuquerque. An upcoming visit for his 30th birthday promised an opportunity to reunite with loved ones whom he missed dearly. Tragically, it is during this gathering that we will honor Dominick's memory and bid farewell as he embarks on a journey to heaven, forever remaining an angel and shining star in our hearts.
His capacity to love knew no bounds, and Dominick's lasting legacy will be remembered through his acts of compassion, his ability to provide comfort, and his unwavering willingness to lend an ear to anyone in need. To all those whose lives he touched, please know that he held a special place in his heart for each and every one of you.
The services to celebrate Dominick's life will be held on Monday, August 7th at Trujillo Family Funeral Home located at 110 Alvarado Dr SE, Albuquerque NM 87108. A private family viewing will commence at 10:00 am, followed by a public viewing at 10:30 am. The funeral service will then begin at 11:00 am. Following the service, Dominick will be laid to rest at The Gate of Heaven Cemetery with a small reception to follow. Among the pallbearers honoring Dominick are Anthony Klienhenz, Eli Vigil, Caleb and Christopher Wright, Lucas Chapman, and Joshua Chiles.
