Dolores Chavez

Dolores Chavez passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the age of 89 on May 12, 2024. She was born on August 13, 1934 to Petra and Jelico Lovato. Dolores is preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe Chavez, Father Jelico Lovato, Mother Petra Lovato, Brother Fermin Lovato, Brother Toby Lovato, Sister Betty, Son Rudy Lovato, Granddaughter Michelle Cantu, Grandson Ruben Jr. Lovato. She is survived by her brother Ray Lovato, Sister Linda Cowan, Son Tony Lovato and wife Stella Lovato, Son Dewey Chavez and Wife Diana Chavez, Daughter Patsy Jaramillo, Daughter Margaret Alderete and Husband Frank Alderete, Daughter Gloria Medrano and friend Jenny Duran. Dolores had 148 grandchildren she was very proud of. Dolores will be forever missed; her loving heart touched many people and we all loved her dearly. Dolores will be laid to rest on Friday Jun 14, 2024. Services to be held at Holy Spirit Cathedral, located at 1001 Barelas Rd. SW. Rosary to be held at 11:00am - 11:30am with mass to follow from 11:30am - 12:30pm following burial at The Santa Clara Cemetery, 611 Foothill Rd. SW. Albuquerque, NM 87105.  Those who may not be able to attend the service reception to follow at the Post 100 located at 424 Candelaria Rd NW. Reception guests may arrive between 12:30pm - 1:00pm. We ask that we spend this time sharing our favorite memories we all had of Dolores. May Dolores’ beautiful soul rest in peace and her memory live forever. We love you Dolores!
