Dianne passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 28th, 2024 at the young age of 80, surrounded by her children and loved ones. She was born in Framingham, Massachusetts to Jeanne Hunt and is the eldest of 3 children. Dianne had the biggest heart, an amazing sense of humor, an appreciation for adventure, and loved her family immensely. She treasured anything sweet (like Queen Anne chocolate covered cherries), her nightly Rose Tea with cream and two sugars, anything Elvis, and of course Law and Order, NCIS, Gameshow Network, and Hallmark Movies.
Early in life, at the age of 18, Dianne met and married her high school sweetheart, Willard “Bill” Matthew Patton Jr. Together they celebrated fifty-five years of marriage before his passing in 2018. They had four children, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. In 1980, Dianne and Bill moved themselves and their four children to Albuquerque for Bill’s career with Digital Equipment Corporation. Once in Albuquerque, Dianne found a passion in the management of various Pizza Hut locations throughout the city and had a successful & joyful career until her retirement in 2008.
In retirement, Dianne continued her passions of decorating her home for the holidays, taking care of her husband, and traveling with her family as much as she could. In May of this year (2024), Dianne was able to commemorate her 80th birthday both in Albuquerque and by traveling to New England to see her two brothers and extended family in celebration. The family feels extremely fortunate to have those memories, which many will continue to keep near and dear to their heart.
She is preceded by her husband Bill, her mother Jeanne, and her daughter Lisa. Dianne is survived by her younger brothers Landon (Cathy), and Leslie. She leaves behind her four amazing children; her son Willard Mathew Patton III (Catherine), her son John, her son Robert (Jackie), and her daughter Mary. Along with her eight grandchildren; Anthony, Christopher (Reanna), Bryon, Corey (Megan), Dustin (Mickey), Emily (Brandon), Leanne, and Raymond; and Five Great-Grandchildren; Billy, Lillie, Dylan, Sienna, and Kaeliana. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended or adopted family members which include; Karen, Lynne, Brandon, and her caregiver Daisy.
