David Albert Schroeder, 44, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on May 4th, 2023, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on August 4th, 1978, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Steve Schroeder and Patricia Vaupel Jordan. David is survived by his daughter Presley, his father Steve Schroeder (wife Sherry Rice), his mother Patricia Vaupel Jordan, and his stepfather Charles Jordan, his half-sister Cecilia Jordan (and nephew Wyatt Jordan), and his half-brother Daniel Jordan (wife Courtney and niece Charlotte). Also, by his Uncle Scott Schroeder, his Aunt Christine Hueston and his two cousins, Michelle Hueston-Green and Michael Schroeder, and their children. His Uncle Michael Vaupel, his Aunt Missy Vaupel, and his four cousins Suzanne Gwilliam, Allicyn Hughes, Lauren Tharp, and Michael Vaupel Jr., and their children.
In his youth, David was an excellent soccer player and could hold his own on any basketball court. He graduated from Albuquerque High School and attended the University of New Mexico. David had a kind and gentle soul and was a good listener. He enjoyed music, bike riding, swimming, skateboarding, and traveling.
A Rosary and Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Trujillo Family Funeral Home, located at 110 Alvarado Drive SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, at 8:30 AM at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, located at 2621 Vermont Street NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. The interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 924 Menaul Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
Flowers may be sent to Trujillo Family Funeral Home, 110 Alvarado Drive SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. Memorial donations can be sent in David's name to a mental health organization or substance abuse program of your choosing.
David will be missed by all who loved him, including his many good friends and family.
