David Michael Garcia

David Michael Garcia Jr. (Chimp), age 55, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away peacefully on November 7,
2023. He was born on May 28, 1968 in Los Angeles, CA to David and MaryElla Garcia. He grew up in
Espanola Valley and later moved to Albuquerque where he pursued his passion for landscaping.

Michael is preceded in death by his only daughter: Julianna Garcia; his father: David Gilbert Garcia; his
nephew: Isaiah Herrera; sister-in-law: Oona Garcia.

He is survived by his mother MaryElla Loretta Fernandez; his siblings: Dennis Garcia of Albuquerque,
Lynnette Koonce (Jeff) of Albuquerque, Michelle Bianchi (Kevin) of Denver, and Joe Herrera Jr.
(Stephanie)of Nambe.

Michael’s passing leaves a significant void for all who loved him. His resilience, sense of humor, love for
his family and compassionate nature have undoubtedly left an impact on the people who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held on February 17 th at 12:00pm at Trujillo Family Funeral Home, 110
Alvarado Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
