David (Dave) Chavez

October 26, 1956 — October 24, 2023

David(Dave)Chavez age 66, beloved husband. step-dad, grandpa, brother and uncle passed away October 24,2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Stella Chavez, brothers Richard and Fred Chavez.

Dave was a distinguished welder and was proud of his work. He would tell everyone that he helped with Presbyterian bridge. He was a big Raiders fan and loved watching football. He was a person who you could always count on no matter what.

Dave is survived by his beloved wife Laurie who he cherished. Daughters Melissa, Valerie and Renee (Shaun). 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Sisters Josie, Judy(John), Gloria and Loretta. Brothers Leonard and Tommy and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration will be November 6, 2023 11:00 am at Trujillo funeral home 110 Alvarado Drive SE ABQ, NM 87108. Pallbearers: Nikki Montes, Isaiah Romero, Leonard Chavez Tommy Chavez , Richie Chavez , Richard Chavez honorary Fabian Herrera. Burial to follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery 2957 Arenal Rd SW ABQ, NM 87105.
